Sebastian Wen is a highly skilled classical and conservatory trained pianist, performer, and music educator with 16 years of performance experience and 6 years of teaching experience.
Sebastian began taking piano lessons at age 7 from the request of his grandfather. He immediately fell in love with the instrument, practicing for hours almost every day. Sebastian has a natural affinity for music, developing perfect pitch and the ability to learn pieces by ear within the first few months of his lessons. He began competing in local and national competitions, placing in a large number of them and garnering state-wide attention.

During his time at UNCSA, he received intensive training under Dr. Dmitri Vorobiev, a Russian pianist with international acclaim. He later studied at UNC Greensboro, but returned to Dr. Vorobiev at UNCSA to continue his degree, where he prepared for the Chopin and Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition.
Outside of piano, Sebastian is also a first responder and works part-time as a paramedic. He performs regularly for nursing homes, memory
