Whether professional or amateur, sometimes our practice regimens and habits can leave us a bit dull feeling, not as vibrant and enthusiastic as we first felt when we fell in love with the piece(s) we’re working on. This is normal.
Sometimes, however, we can even experience tension and pain during practice and performance. This is not normal, though it is often tolerated and overlooked by so many pianists because of deadlines and busy schedules, or because no one ever showed us how to use our body efficiently.
My name is Louis and I absolutely love helping pianists get to the heart of matters like these.
Working with me we’ll do a lot of work at the piano for sure, and explore how music lives through our whole body. But we’ll give just as much attention to our inner world and engage in mindfulness and awareness practices designed to quiet the mind and allow us to feel more, hear more, and express more….with a lot less effort!
